OUR STORY

The American Embassy Recreation Association (AERA), is a non-profit organization that supports the morale, welfare and recreation purposes of U.S. Government employees and their family members. AERA is a dynamic organization that creates a supportive environment to meet the changing needs of its membership in order to build positive morale at the U.S. Embassy by providing services as well as recreational and cultural opportunities to its U.S. Direct Hires (USDH), their eligible family members, and other approved individuals.

AERA facilities on the Embassy compound include; the Embassy cafeteria, the American Clubhouse Restaurant and Cocktail Bar, locker rooms, swimming pool, kiddie pool, tennis court, half-basketball court, sand volleyball court and playground. Instructors are available for private, two person and group lessons. Our services include; school busing, airport/ferry taxi-shuttles and various additional offerings supported by our local partners. Swing by our Club House for a quick bite during the work day, unwind with a happy-hour after work, or relax and let us host your event. Options range from small brunch department meetings, large scale themed parties and other special occasions. Our primary focus is exceptional customer service, so please do not hesitate to send us your feedback.
